i am making a dress to wear to my boyfriend's work christmas party. its dark purple velvet and strapless with a sweetheart neckline, it is hemmed just below the knee. i was thinking of putting a huge velvet bow in the same colour at the small of the back. is that too nineties or just lame? can a bow be ironic? opinions please.
