how do you sew/hem sleeveless dresses?

I have no pattern...so far it looks good, but i need to figure out how to finish the arm holes. any tips or sites i should see?
That dress appears to be lined, and is not strapless; it's sleeveless.

I'd strongly suggest that you find a pattern that you like or at least a lined dress pattern or textbook of sewing to work from. The beauty of this dress is in the silhouette and perfectly handled fabric, which is difficult for a beginner; extremely difficult when attempting to work without a pattern.
