I just bought a refurbished iPod mini off eBay a few days only to discover after the iPod mini was discontinued. What I just lost my money or I can when even download music off itunes and download it to iPod mini??
No worries - you can always buy as much music you want from iTunes and store it on the device. All the "abandoned" means that the model is old and newer is released. Most often, sometimes, it means that Apple does not release software updates ... but the basic operating system should continue working. When you buy music from iTunes, it is downloaded in a format known as "AAC" - this format is taken supported by the iPod Mini, and you should have no trouble listening to your iTunes purchases on your Mini! The iPod Mini was essentially the predecessor the now famous iPod Nano. I bought my sister a way back in the day, and hers took a lot of abuse and only now deceased - if it has been well cared for, chances are that you must take some camera time.
