NWT worth visiting?
Hi from OZ, I have the opportunity to visit the nwt/yukon region. This is a once off and probably the only time I will ever be able to afford to travel overseas, will be based in Grande Prairie, ab.
Have a few places in the yukon picked out but not sure about nwt. I have 2 months so have a bit of time up my sleeve. I like camping, fishing, hunting, mountains, outback pubs - you know, outdoors and country people stuff. Would appreciate any worthwhile suggestions. Thanks. Kind regards,Michael
Try to get on a river raft tour up the MacKenzie River if you visit during the summer months. You get to see a lot of the sites and wilderness including caribou migrations and the rafting trip itself is a blast. You can travel almost all the way from Yellowknife to Inuvik on the Arctic Ocean in a week or so.
