Does anyone know how I could get hold of either a cheap or a used womens' figure skating costume?
Don't ask why (long story) but I'm supposed to dress up as Tonya Harding for an upcoming party. Needless to say, it doesn't have to be anything "elegant" or elaborate, just something that looks like what a figure skater would wear. I looked on e-bay but didn't find anything--then again, I'm not very good at searches. Does anyone have a good idea for me? I don't want to spend a lot of money on this.
If it helps, I'm a US (female) size 4 to 6.

Call a local ice rink and see if they have a pro shop that sells used/inexpensive dresses. Also ask if there is a figure skating club associated with the rink. Clubs often sell used dresses as a way of fund raising Skaters get rid of old dresses and the club get a percentage of the profit. If you aren't sure where there's a rink you Can check the yellow pages or you can look up figure skating clubs on the www.usfsa.org and click on the link for clubs.
